VIRGIN MARY OF UNBORN, PROTECTRESS OF THE UNBORN

Human life is and has always been at the center of the great struggle between good and evil, between light and darkness. It is the struggle between the “Culture of Life” and the “Culture of Death”.

Inspiration to write this icon was a Miracle Icon of Virgin Mary of Guadalupe and massage She is sending to us to protect voiceless, defenseless, unborn humans. For Mexico’s indigenous people, the image contained rich symbolism.

In our icon, The Virgin’s gown is blue, the color of royalty. Her head in aureole’s of twelve stars, (allusion to the number of Apostles) and Her head is bowed and Her eyes are downcast, showing She has a higher authority above Her.

A black ribbon around Mary’s waist indicates She is expecting a baby. (as Virgin Mary of Guadalupe). Mary is so graceful and while somber about Her mysterious future and Her mysterious Son. The Globe under the feet of the Madonna and encircled by a serpent, it figures our Redemption, Her triumph over a World fallen through sin.

Our Virgin Mary of Unborn is surrounded by angels, with different angels faces, different look, all in waiting, expressing trust: “Mary protect them, please”.

We must remember that Aztecs long time ago, offered annually thousands of men, women and children in human sacrificed to their gods. The early Mexican historians estimated that one out of every five children in Mexico was sacrificed.

Recently, the leading authority on the demography of Mexico at the time of the conquest, has revised the estimated number of persons sacrificed in central Mexico in the fifteen century to 250, 000 per year.

Certainly, in this case, The Virgin Mary crushed the serpent by putting an end to these barbaric human sacrifices, and a few years later, millions of indigenous people of Mexico were converted to Christianity and human sacrificed stopped.

And today?

The data on abortions counter is based on latest statistics on world wide abortions published by the World Health Organization (WHO). According to WHO, every year in the world there are estimated 40-50 million abortions. This corresponds to approximately 125,000 abortions per day.

What kind of God is asking today for human sacrifices?

Today, the ancient serpent is certainly achieving big hits in its attack upon human life.

Millions of unborn children are killed around the Globe in procedures that in some countries are not only legal, but are also officially supported and financed by faceless governments. This is why our VIRGIN MARY OF UNBORN has been design, written, came to life, chosen to reduce, and eventually, put an end to abortions.

Today we find ourselves in the midst of even more enormous and dramatic conflict between good and evil, death and life, the “Culture of Life” and the “Culture of Death”.
